Janet Colborn is a partner of Colborn Associates, which has been putting foundations beneath financial plans since 1927 and is a member of the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce. Janet, a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) and Certified Long Term Care Specialist (CLTC), is named in “The Heritage Registry of Who’s Who”. With a BS degree in Business Education, Janet has combined her financial expertise together with her passion for education, and loves promoting SOFA's mission to end financial illiteracy one community at a time. Through education and personal assistance, Janet has helped thousands of people over more than 40 years gain financial knowledge which has, in turn, allowed them to position themselves so they no longer need to worry about money, what to expect in their retirement, and/or how make financial decisions which can give safety and guarantees.

The Society for Financial Awareness is a nationwide 501(c)(3) non profit public benefit corporation. Our mission is to provide financial education across America, one community at a time. Founded in 1993, we have had the privilege of working with various prominent companies and organizations. Our financial education outreach and years of continued success has provided us name recognition, a reputation of excellence, and most importantly the opportunity to impact lives.

Our members conduct financial education seminars to companies and organizations; satisfying the Department of Labor's requirement, ERISA 404(c). Our seminars are completely FREE of charge and there is no selling of financial products at our events.
