Take a look at what other have to say about our workshops...
I have had the pleasure of working with Kurt Hemry, President of the Greater Portland Chapter of the Society for Financial Awareness (SOFA), a non-profit educational speakers bureau. We partnered with SOFA to hold a number of free, one hour lunch and learn seminars for our employees which were presented by Mr. Hemry.

The SOFA seminar choices include a broad range of financial topics that are of interest to people with varying degrees of financial knowledge. Our employees found the seminars to include information on financial issues commonly faced and found them to be interesting and relevant. A number of employees chose to schedule a free personal consultation to receive more personalized information. There were no references to any particular products or services, or the sense that a personal consultation was expected.

We appreciate SOFA for making this financial education available to us.
George Pessotti, President of the Greater New England Non Profit Speakers Bureau, SOFA, recently conducted a very informative workshop on Estate Planning Strategies. Specifically, we learned about Revocable Living Trusts, Wills, Durable Powers of Attorney and other planning tools. We were impressed with the fact that Mr. Pessotti has had 35 years of experience in this field and has knowledge of the tax consequences associated with improper asset titling and beneficiary designations.

We also learned how to obtain Real Estate listing using the CRT (Charitable Remainder Trust). We were educated about the Medicaid rules pertaining to single and married couples. Mr. Pessotti encouraged us to take action and stop procrastinating on important retirement planning issues.

The one-hour seminar flew by, and we all wished that we had more time listening to him. We look forward to another educational workshop in the future. As promised, there was "NO SELLING" at this informative educational workshop.

We had an excellent turnout and a great deal of enthusiasm with the clear and entertaining way that Mr. Pessotti presented this information. I would sincerely recommend that others attend his workshops. It was truly the best presentation of this topic that I have ever heard.
The Sayreville Public Library has had the pleasure of working with the Greater Central New Jersey Chapter of the Society for Financial Awareness for the past three months. Programming is a core service that the library is proud to offer its patrons to keep them informed and educated regarding various topics. The recent deluge of patrons seeking reliable, financial information has prompted the library to dedicate much of its programming offerings to personal finance seminars geared towards answering the various questions patrons and their families seek. We have been fortunate enough to work with the team from the Society for Financial Awareness to provide educational seminars that are practical and informative.

SOFA speaker Bruce Yenk's knowledge and command of his subject matter is evident in his presentations. Patrons leave his seminars excited and motivated because Bruce's strategies and tips inspire and educate. Tackling financial dilemmas can seem intimidating and daunting, but Bruce enables patrons to feel a sense of confidence and understanding as they embark on making better financial futures for themselves and their families.

Bruce's zeal for helping patrons and his willingness to stay late and answer questions demonstrates his commitment to his profession and the community. He and his assistant, Josh Goodman are true professional who always arrive promptly for their presentations and follow up with staff to ensure the satisfaction of attendees. SOFA's reliability and competence are second to none. We look forward to having SOFA back to continue aiding the community of Sayreville, as well as the library as it strives to provide excellent programming.
On behalf of the employees of the United States Mint at San Francisco I want to express our appreciation to you for all the training you provided to us during the month of July. Your timely presentations on Tax Planning, Financial Blunders, First Time Home Buyers, Long Term Health Care, Investing Basics, You and Your Credit Score, Getting Fiscally Fit, Options for a Quality Retirement, Retirement and Beyond, Stress and Your Health, and Increase Your Health and Wellness were great topics that will help get our employees to start seriously thinking about their futures. Not only have the employees commented on the great job you did but they are curious about other topics and want to know when you will be returning.

As a government agency, it is hard to find speakers to come and talk to your employees (and cover all three shifts) about important topics about life and financial awareness, at no cost and without selling a product or service. For this alone we are grateful, as to this very informative presentations and excellent handouts and our gratitude is multiplied.

I enjoyed meeting you, and again I want to thank you for coming to the United States Mint at San Francisco and sharing vital and timely information with us. If the opportunity presents itself again, we hope you come out and hold another presentation.
Child Help has truly enjoyed the financial luncheon seminar the Society for Financial Awareness has offered to our employees. All of the speakers that have presented have been very well educated and informed on the topics and have been able to answer any questions that employees have asked.

We have heard nothing but positive feedback on all of the seminars we have had so far, and are so excited for more seminars in the future.

Thank you to you and all of the members of SOFA for presenting us with a financial awareness program we can offer to our employees. We have appreciated everything you have provided.
On behalf of the Cerritos Senior Center, I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks for providing such valuable information on a variety of financial topics. The Center and the seniors are greatly impressed with your wealth of knowledge and professionalism.

Additionally, I would recommend to anyone who has the opportunity to host your informational lecture topics for their patrons, to do so without hesitation. I welcome you to use this letter of recommendation as you attempt to further inform patrons of their financial opportunities.

Again, thank you for providing valuable information for our senior population. We look forward to the future informational lectures you have scheduled with us.
I wanted to thank you and Bill for the training you provided for the staff and volunteers at the May Lunch 'n' Learn. As someone who frequently schedules training, I am often approached by folks who would like to use the guise of training for an actual sales call - and I was leery that the information SOFA offered would be the same. But knowing you and the Romeos, I felt I could give it a chance with confidence and I'm so glad I did. There was so much solid, unbiased information in what was presented - and no sales pitch even remotely implied.

I look forward to finding another slot in the training schedule to include a different presentation from the incredible menu offered. It really is a relief to find a source of information for training purposes that can be used with confidence in both information and the presenters.

Please feel free to use me as a reference, should other have similar concerns to be addressed. Looking forward to future endeavors.
On behalf of Travis County employees, thank you and the Society for Financial Awareness for providing your workshop on aging parents to us. As you know, both sessions were well attended and the feedback we received was excellent. In fact we plan to offer the same program again for people who were not able to attend the first time. It appears that we have a large number of employees who are dealing with all sorts of aging related issues with their older relatives.

We are looking forward to the other workshops we have scheduled for the remainder of the calendar year. We firmly believe that providing our employees with unbiased financial education is necessary and supports our goal to offer both personal and professional development opportunities to the employees of Travis County. If any potential employer would like to contact me directly, please feel free to give them my information.

Again, thank you and keep up the good work!
On behalf of Monroe-Union County Community Development Corporation, I would like to thank you for assisting us in our Individual Development Account program. Your presentation was fabulous and the participants have expressed the need for you guys to come back. The workshops: "Getting Fiscally Fit" and "Stress and Your Health" were exactly what our families needed as they prepare themselves for home ownership.

Monroe-Union County CDC incorporated in May of 1990, and has been providing financial literacy for twenty years. We are excited about the new partnership with SOFA, and look forward to your next presentation.
On behalf of NAWBO San Diego, I would like to thank you for speaking in our Seminar Series on March 12. Your presentation about Protecting Your Business is invaluable to those who have attended the seminar. The presentation materials and examples relevant to the topic provided great insights and understanding of the importance of business insurance. Overall, your presentation was professional and well-prepared.

Once again, thank you for sharing your time and expertise to our organization.
